Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser
December 16, 2006
On this unusually warm Saturday morning in December, the members of the Bristol Kiwanis club learned an important lesson in fundraising. The tempting aroma of hot, fresh pancakes, combined with a little butter and maple syrup can lead to a very full cash box and several charitable goals met. Hosted by the good people of Applebees in Bristol, Tennessee, the pancake breakfast fundraiser was a tremendous success. Several members of the club came to the event to both work and eat.
Batter was poured, pancakes were flipped, and people were served all throughout the morning.
At the end of the day, over $2,600 was raised by the club. A significant portion of that money went to the purchase of a reading rug for the new Bristol Public Library. Thanks to everyone who came to work and came to eat.
