Several Presentations at the Stated Meeting
April 19, 2007

President Malcolm Sprinkle chose to begin our meeting on Thursday by making two presentations to members of the club. The first presentation was quite special and a first for our club. Les Hilbert received the Ruby K, which is an honor given to a Kiwanian who brings into the club 5 new members. This was the first of what our president hopes will be several Ruby K's presented to members of the Bristol Kiwanis. The second presentation was to Ben Lawson, who was recognized as Kiwanian of the Month (March 2007) for his work with the website and other activities in the club.

Our speaker for the meeting was Mrs. Claudia Byrd, Director of Bristol Speedway Children's Charities, who spoke passionately about the work of Speedway Children's Charities and its reach into the community. After her presentation, Malcolm Sprinkle thanked her for her work with children in the community and presented her with a Kiwanis Club of Bristol mug.
